WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CHILD IS BULLIED ONLINE?
Cyberbullying is prevalent on social media and online games, make it a habit of asking your child about their ‘Digital Day’ to keep lines of communication open about their online world. If they tell you they are being Cyberbullied, treat it as if it were in person bullying, contact the bullys parent, escalate to a teacher if need be, and be sure to take a screenshot the bullying so you can have a discussion about it.

Congratulate your child on speaking up.  Teach your child to be a Cyber Superhero: an Upstander rather than a Bystander.

  • Seems obvious but less than half of educated parents have any parental control for their children's phone / digital devices - To be considered a good parent.... this is a most basic parental requirement!

  • positive review  Josh was amazing with our children, talking about tricky issues with poise. His warm personality let children have an immediate repore with him. This helped us get realistic results for the survey - a must for all schools who care about the digital wellbeing of their children. We are looking forward to further partnering with Be in Touch to help us guide our parents whom we hope will in turn help provide a safer online environment for their children.

  • My child's school had Be In Touch come in and talk to the students (including doing polls and surveys), and then followed that with a session for parents in which they shared some of the data, experiences, and conversations that came up. It made for a really relevant and focused session for the parents, with practical tips and solutions to assist them with keeping kids safe online. I also enjoyed the way they highlighted the partnership between schools, staff and parents, and prioritised children's safety and security over popularity and privacy. As a teacher and parent, I highly recommend Josh and Kate, and their sessions.
